WPA/WEP security

Can a WEP security adapter be used on a WPA enabled router network? (Both Linksys items)

If the adapter is 802.11b and the router is 11g ensure that you select wireless mode g&b (or b if possible) in the router user interface (see manual). If the adapter only supports WEP you may be forced to use select WEP security in the router.

It'll work, but WEP is less secure and 11b is slower (11mpbs max, though it depends on your ISP's speed whether this is an issue).

As wireless adapters are pretty cheap, you should probably upgrade.
