Hey guys, I know there have been a lot of questions regarding the Q6600 so I just thought I'd add one more. lol
My setup is:
Q6600 CPU
Antec Nine Hundred Case
XFX NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI MCP Enthusiast Motherboard
Zalman 9700NT HSF
MSI NX8800GTX OC Edition
4GB Corsair XMS2 DHX 4-4-4-12
Antec Trio 650W PSU
[Using coretemp and Everest Ultimate for temps] Edit: TAT also seems to crash my system lol
I've run the CPU at stock 2.4 and ran OC'd at 3GHz and there is basically little difference in the idle temps, this normal? I've also dropped the voltage to the CPU and only noticed a very slight temp decrease. I've checked the HSF and that seems fine. Stock settings im idling at around 35 to say 38,40 degrees and when OC'd im idling at around 38 to 40. I am aware that the nForce chipsets do run a littler warmer but am a tad baffled at the similar temps at stock and when OC'd. Any advice/opinions would be great ambient temp would be around 18-23.
