hard drive recommendation

Hi there,
I'm looking to get a new set of hard drives for configuation in a RAID 0 set up in order to install my OS on. Can anyone recommend something? I would like to get something that is high performance (reliability isnt a concern, my data is on a separate RAID 1 setup), and that is a good investment generally.
Does anyone have any ideas for specific hard disks to consider?

Thanks: which of those parameters are most important for overall OS performance? THe things I care about are fast application and file load up times as well as general boot up times. I'm looking for top performance, dont care too much about space, and would prefer to pay less but would pay more if necessary.

PS - I also dont really care about reliabilty, seeings my precious documents wouldnt be on it... just something snappy for my OS

First off I would like to recommend that you take a quick look at this page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harddrive#Other_characteristics

For gaming: The VelociRaptor (preferable the one at 300GB if you can afford it)
or
Western Digital Black Edition 1GB (it get's a bit loud from I have read on the net, but seems to be very fast!)

If you're going to use the system as a server than you're better off with SCSI disks..
