Hi, I just bought some pc components my problem is with the psu. I got the PSU from a friend and he says that it will work perfectly on my config but I want to be sure. The pc config is the following: MSI P35 Neo2-FR, Intel Q6600 (G0 stepping), A-Data Viesta Extreme Plus 2x1GB 800Mhz CL4, MSI NX8800GT-T2D512E-OC, WD Caviar SE 400GB.
Problem 1: the mobo has an 8 pin 12V connector and the PSU has a 4 pin connector.
Problem 2: in the mobo manual it says "ATX 12V power connection should be greater than 18A." and this is what it says on the PSU's box

So will this psu work on my config or should I get another ?
Thank you in advanced.

The PSU's auxillary 12v 4pin connector will work in the MB's 8 pin connector, just plug the 4 pin lead into one side of the MB connector. The PSU you have has dual 12v rails totaling 29A which is more than the 18A needed you referred to.. The unit should work fine with your system.
