i was wondering why there are no reveiws on pretty much any website on any grapics cards at 1680 x 1050(22in. widescreen monitor) resolution or for that matter 1440x900(19in. widescreen monitor). The price difference between a 24in and 22in is still in favor of the 22in and a lot of computer componies (HP, Compaq, Dell etc.) are now selling these size monitors as a package deal. Im all for what a graphics card can do at 2400x1600 and beyond but when i am looking to upgrade my graphics cards i want to know how a particular card will work at a set resolution similar to my own. After all, isnt that what reviews are all about?
im not sure. BUT if u wanna run resolution smaller than what the reviewers have reviewed. ill say ull get better frame raters if ur cpu aint being a bottleneck.

They tend to review 1600x1200. Since this is so close to 1680x1050 (within 10%), they don't bother with reviewing them both. At least I think that's what I heard.
I have a 1680x1050 moniter too. I wondered what was the closest resolution........... So I guess I should look at benchies at 1600x1200 to see good I will do at that res?

1) Most people game on 4:3 displays rather than widescreen. The review sites cater to the majority.
2) Many games do not natively support widescreen resolutions. Even when they do, many gamers still run 4:3. Also, since widescreen support is less abundant that fullscreen, review sites stick with what is popular and consistent.
Many review sites do include tests at 1600x1200. This is rather close to 1680x1050 in terms of performance.
You can see that 1680x1050 will have a slight performance advantage over 1600x1200 because it has ~8% fewer pixels. So if you are looking at a review site, check out the 1600x1200 results and add about 8% to their results, and you can expect that to be close to what you'd get.
