hi i have just purchased this card :http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

from newegg it is a AGP card 512 mb ati hd 2600 pro his card .. its and ok mid range card for me. i bought this card and installed it, when i turn my pc on the screen is black with red words "pci-E internal power supply cable needed" so i decide to buy this PCU from newegg for more power 500 watts upgrading from a small 300 watts PCU
This is the link:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
now i have the required 450 watts of power for the GPU but now i need a the pci-E cable/ Psu/ Molex or something cable power cable for the card.

The card seems to have 4 male pins on it and the power supply has 6.
i belive i will need a converter for my small little rig
can anyone recomend a converter and offer me some options plzzz!!????
im new at computers this is my first small pc project.

pjkilla,

your PSU should have a dedicated PCI-e power cable on it so try and find it. It may have PCI-e written on it but if not I'm pretty certain it exists!

In the pictures, I can't get a good look at where the power plugs in because of the cooler. If it is a four pin male on the card, you don't need a PCI-e connection from the PSU. Use one of the smaller floppy molex connections. No adapter necessary.

You payed a bit much for your card. At $112 you can get an AGP 2600 XT from newegg; it's quite a bit faster than the PRO.

Still, not the end of the world. Just ask us BEFORE buying next time...

No
You need a reg 4 pin molex, the floppy uses a mini-connector I believe.
