I'm thinking I'll buy a 8800GT GPU to go along with my Gigabyte mobo. Since I'm getting the Gigabyte mobo, I was looking at this one http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/Prod [...] e=10007129

Are they all pretty much the same (assuming the same amount of RAM), other than price.

There's clock speed to consider too, but other than clock speed, price, RAM and the single 8800GT that is fanless, they're pretty much the same.

For 8800GT's, the only differences are clock speed, software bundles, Warranties (though all Nvidia card makers have good warranties), and Price. Evga has the best warranty of them all. Lifetime if you register (its painless, I did it for my 7900gs) and with said warranty, they cover you overclocking and adding on aftermarket coolers. even if you kill it by doing those they will replace it (at least, that is what I am lead to believe...) I got a gigabyte 8800GT because I couldn't wait for an Evga to come in stock. The gigabyte's have a 3 year warranty though.

At newegg, there's a Gigabyte 8800GT 512mb for $259.99. It's a little different with the Zalman cooling and the board itself is a little shorter. It's clocked at 700mhz.

If you don't care for fancy packaging or bundled software / games / other stuff (crap), look for the PNY 8800GT, it has nothing but the driver cd and HDVI adapters plus some other dongles/cables. I'm not sure about the warranty though, probably 2 years i'm guessing.

I got it at a local store in Toronto for $250 (PC Village)

i already overclocked it a little, 630 gpu 1860 mem and stable with crysis.

just go for the cheaper one. With the saved money you can buy the game you prefer. Thats what i did, i buy a special christmas Pov 8800gt offer with a horry Gp motorbike game, but it cost to me 216 euros, i´ve saved 30 euros and im thinking about get oblidion, witched or crysis.
