Pioneer PDP-435XDE

I recently bought above tv. Among all the features there is a slot for a
reader of MultiMedia cards through a PCMCIA. I bought a SanDisk 6-in-1
Pcmcia Card Adapter but - after several tests - it does not work. At Pioneer
Italy they don't know why; they tried it, thay said it should work, but at
the end they simply said that in their opinion this is not compatible (?)
and I should have to try, on my own expenses, other Pcmcia. Did anybody have
had the same problem? Any help?
