6 pin connector???

Just bought an ATI Radeon HD 3850 and it's in my computer!!!

But my motherboard doesn't have the 6 pin connector! Is this necessary???

The instructions don't even say to connect it, which is why I'm asking. Very odd...

If I just turn on my system without connecting the power to the video card, will it fry my computer??

you need something like tis it not connects whit your motherboard but your power supply ,
they usually come together whit your video card/ or you got to have apsu whit pci expres
