Hi

I built a new pc with the following parts:

Q6600 CPU
P5k Asus mobo
2GIG Crucial Ballistix DDR 400
512MB Geforce 8800GT

All installed ok and working fine. However i read in the manual that if you run DDR400 memory with a CL4 latency then the bios will set the memory to DDR333 because of limitations in the chipset. I have installed all updates etc. so how can i check what speed memory is running? Perhaps its been fixed in an update.

Second question, on system startup it says i am running in dual channel in interleaved mode? I know what dual channel is but what is interleaved mode? Is that the best mode to run it in? I put one stick in A1 and one stick in B1 as suggested in the mobo manual.

yes, interleaved is what intel calls its best dual channel config

I think you meant to say DDR2-800 memory.

A basic explaination of Interleaved memory is, the memory on the motherboard is accessed as if it is one large block of memory e.g. the 2 RAM modules act like they are 1 RAM module. This reduces acess times and gives an overall speed boost.
