I ordered a ReadyNas Pro with 6 1.5tb hds in it,, totaling 9tb
I can do raid 5 and have 7.5tb storage total
or raid 6, and have 6tb storage total
I only have about 4tb of data right now, so I don't necessarly need 7.5 now
but I know raid 6 is much more reliable,,,

Still debating,,
any thoughts?

You pretty much answered the question you asked.

RAID 5 is 1 less drive of overhead and on most controllers is a bit faster than RAID 6 on writes.

RAID 6 is 1 more drive of overhead and a bit slower on writes due to having to 1 more parity calculation and write. But here you can sustain 1 more drive failure and not lose data.

Choice is really yours just consider what is important to you.
