I just switched to a new motherboard a Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L(Bios Version F5) from a 775Dual-VSTA and since then my 4300 temps during load peek around 60-65c under full load with orthos. This is with a clock setting anywhere from 2.4-3.0Ghz.
I've tried resetting the heat sink three times but end up with the same result. My idle temps are between 33-35. My idle temps where the same with the 775Dual but load (limited to 2.7) never broke 50c. This is with a Cooler Master Hyper TX2 heat sink.
I am using Artic Silver ceramique. My case is a Cooler Master Cavalier 3(CPU duct is removed and a 80mm fan is in its place, also replaced rear 120 with a 62cfm fan)

Temps where taken with Core Temp .95

Any suggestions?

What are your room ambient temps?

I still have the page I did on my dad upgrade, which is the E4300, using a similar HS, even with the for 4 push pins:

E4300 System Built

The temps I got on load did reach near 60C (40-43C idle), but the ambient room temp was around 76-78F.

I think your still in a reasonable temp range even though your older MB ran cooler. Perhaps the Gigabyte components are giving off more heat under stress.

Did you overclock the E4300 on your older motherboard? It could be the problem. If the temperature is still too hot for your preference, you might want to lower the voltage.

Room temps are around 65F. Cpu volts are stock 1.35. My 8800GT idles at 47c and loads at 70c which indicates I am getting adequate cooling.

On my 775Dual I ran it at 300x9(2.7Ghz) and it never broke 50c.

I tried resetting again last night and still same. I let it get cold 55-60F in here last night and idle dropped to 31 but load still hit 60+ using Orthos. I have come to the conclusion that I hate the push pin design.

I guess I will just get another cooler, not much choice in performance under $40, I could try out an Arctic freezer pro 7($21) its almost the same as mine though..
