too short?

I need to make a crossover between two stacked units is there a rule about having too short of a crossover? all i can think of is being issues with NEXT. I was thinking of less than one foot, probably be solid cat6 wire in a semi-permanent install.

distance rules only apply to maximum lengths, no minimum length rules.

i rewired all of our switches w\ 3-6'' cat 6 cables that i made from a single 25' cable.
