Hi.

I'm very new to Tom's Hardware and to computers in general. I've recently bought a computer with an edimax 7128g network card. However, it doesn't seem to want to work. I've read that this card has issues with 64 bit Vista - which is what I have - but I think my issue is more fundamental. Looking at the back of the card, where it connects to the antenna, the LCD displays are not on. Sorry to sound stupid, but if this is so, is the card broken, or do the TX/RX and Link LCDs only come on when a wireless signal is detected? Vista doesn't identify this hardware, and I've tried taking it out and putting it back in - no luck. I've downloaded ralink drivers which apparently help, but to no avail.

Any ideas for a total newbie?

Thanks very much
