Is http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6820227231 better memory than http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6820146565 If so, why? If not, why not? I know a fair amount about CPU's and motherboard, but nothing about RAM. I have heard different people on the forum say that each type is good, but what is the best all around?

The first one has better cooling but the timing of the second one is better (however 4-4-4-12 doesnt have a noticeable difference with 4-4-4-15)
Both are good RAMs but if it was me i would go for the REAPER one because as i said it has better cooling also again 4-4-4-15 doesnt have a noticeable difference with
4-4-4-12

I plan on a seperate ram cooler, so the heat pipes in the Reaper are not that useful. Thanks for the very quick reply. Something like http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6835704001

Ram that is built with the Micron D9 chip seems to work the best as to stability and overclocking.

It wouldn't fit on reaper ram because of the tall heatpipe. However, someone on newegg said it will fit on any "standart" size ram.
