I have a 10,000rpm hard drive I just purchased (HD1). I also have an older 7,200rpm hd I have had for years (HD2).

My plan is to put all my games and OS on the 10krpm, HD1, and use HD2 for general files and junk.

Will I negate the benefit of the high rpms on HD1 by doing this? Am I right in thinking games will still benifit as long as they run off HD 1? Or will HD2 drag it down simply by being plugged into the system?

Thanks in advance for the insight. :sol:

You will still see the difference on the 10,000 RPM drive. Unless you are copying to or from the slower drive.
