Just get the one that sells for as close to $250 as possible, then overclock yourself. You will not void the warranty by doing so as EVGA covers overclocking under their warranty, as long as you register the card on their site.

Here ya, go:

It is still in stock if you act quickly.

One version comes with Quake Wars: enemy Territory, and one does not. The cards are EXACTLY the same.

Your PSU should be sufficient.

My 8800gt was running, albeit a little flaky, on my old TT purepower 420W with 18Amps on the 12v rail.

50 bucks isn't worth the difference in fps when you can overclock it yourself without voiding the warranty imo.
Make sure you have 26a or more combined on the +12 volt rail(s).

I'm assuming your machine is purchased from Dell or a retail outlet? If that's the case you may end up having to buy a new psu as well. If you bought your psu seperately you should probably know already, otherwise it's in the manual or whatever paperwork it came with. Like wise, whatever manual came with your computer system should have the psu specifications in it. Make sure you have the necessary amperage (combined on both rails is correct) and enough watts.

If the 480 represents the wattage than you will be good to go. Check those amps, although I'm pretty sure without checking your psu is fine.

I looked up the truepower psu on antecs site, and IIRC it said the psu had 28 amps on the 12v rail.

The plain-Jane $259 version O/Cs to 700 core 1950 mem 1750 shader out of the box with RivaTuner. Could probably go higher but I couldn't be bothered. I don't know how much room - if any - there is to O/C the SSC version, but can't imagine it's worth $60 more.

I dropped a Zalman VF900cu I had from an old 7950GT on it and the temps dropped from 58 to 38 C. at idle. Why on Earth would eVGA put such a crappy (and LOUD) cooler on it?
