Ati seems set to launch hybrid crossfire and nvidia hybrid Sli however it appears both of these would be for the AMD platform . does anyone know whether nvidia has similar plans for intel ?

They are working at it too.
AFAIK SLI works on the Intel platform with Nvidia chips.
