Hi all, this is my first overclocking experiment. I thought I had gotten some pretty good equipment to begin with

Q9300
eVGA 780i
eVGA 8800GT
Swiftech H220 Compact (cpu and video card(DD IONE) in the loop)
4 Gigs crucial ballistix DDR2 800 4-4-4-12

Well I did a little research and found out that my Q9300 wasn't great for overclocking, which I didn't know anything about multipliers and FSB's and stuff like that to begin with. But it should OC to at least 3Ghz easily, and that is plenty for me right now.

The problem is my CPU is running really hot for what I've put on it. The cores Idle between 47 and 50C, and top off between 63 and 65C. The idle temps seem really high for a water cooled CPU, and I've reseated the CPU twice and have AS5 thermal grease on it. Then I read something about the Q9xxx reporting false temps, but haven't been able to find a whole lot to help me with this.

Does anyone know a good way to tell what my temps really are if they're inaccurate? And also some help configuring speedfan to account for any found inaccuracies would help.
