More Information

Having some trouble with my cpu fan control on my p5w64 pro. Currently i can set it at optimal (1300rpm) silent (1300rpm wtf???) & performance (temp controlled but usually spins at 2200 out of 2800rpm when at low temps) I have a zalman 9700nt which pointlessly spins at 2800rpm with 80cfm airflow so performance option gets really noisy even at idle temperature ffs) but optimal & silent are too slow to keep a good airflow.

Not sure why optimal & silent are the same but i would have thought performance would spin down at idle temps but it barely does & can get quite noisy while im trying to do some work & very noisy when im gaming. Tried updating the bios but no change. i think i might be doing something wrong here.
