So I go onto my home computer this morning and see a message that one of the hard drives is missing and the RAID 1 is degraded.

I rebooted and got the same message.

I had to leave for work and will work on it more when I get home.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to save me some time?

Sounds like one of your drives died. See if you can find it in bios.

So I got home, unhooked the PC, cleaned it all up real nice, these things get dusty you know ;) , double-checked the connections, remembered what you said about the BIOS, hooked it up and lo and behold the other hard drive was found.

So, it's all working now. The RAID is going through the rebuild now.

Got home from work... watched a basketball game... come downstairs, and the drive is missing again.

Reboot the machine, and it is found. RAID needs to rebuild again.

Faulty drive?

Hi vertigo_200,

Did you solve your problem with the missing drive. I have a similar problem and maybe you can help.
