Hi, all. New to this forum and new to building a pc.
I have a question about buying a hard drive.
There recently was a very good article in Tom's Guide reviewing the 1 Terabyte hard drives.
Among them was the Hitachi Deskstar 7K1000.B 1 TB.
However, I can't find it anywhere. I spoke with somebody from Hitachi who referred me to a wholesale supplier. Had language problems with both.
No answers from either.
Has anybody heard about when this drive is going to be available and it's cost?
And if it's not available soon, what's a good substitute? I'll be using it mostly for SOHO, music, pictures etc.. No hard gaming.
Thanks for any help.

Thanks for your help but that is the old model.
Hitachi Deskstar 7K1000.B 1 TB is the new one that is discussed in the article.
Note the 'B' after the 1000..
Thanks.
