According to the BIOS Temps, my Q6600 is running at ~80C. I haven't installed XP yet due to a faulty hard drive (or so I hope), so that's the only thing I have to go by. I'm using a Tuniq 120 Tower.

Here's a pic of how it's mounted

I did tighten the screws a bit more so it didn't lean like it did in the pic.
Do I need to remount it or something?
If I do, do I have to take off the mobo?

You definitely have a problem, 80C is way to hot. Check for anything that might be getting in the way on the mobo. I would remove the mobo from the case and look at it very carefully.

take off, clean with rubbing alcohol and install with very small amount of thermal compound. too much is the same as too little. You may not have to take the motherboard out, if you can get the screws undone without the motherboard back moving.

I know this probably isn't the main problem, but one thing to think about is which way you face the fan. I didn't see a fan in the top, and you hvae the fan blowing toward the top.

So pretty much reseat it and everything that everyone else has said, but just make sure you make the fan blow to the back of the case. It'll help keep things just a little bit cooler.

Make sure you use TIM like ACS5. Make sure it's mounted properly and has a active fan running. I see you have a outtake fan behind it. That's not as good as a fan on the tower blowing air through it. Try increasing the fan speed on the outtake fan through BIOS or if it's an Antec TriCool, the switch.

Ok, I reseated the thing. I removed the old paste with Goo Gone and applied a new layer and let it spread by letting the heatsink just sit on it. Last time I spread the layer using my finger in a latex glove.

Here's how it looks.

Even though I had no HD, I was still able to boot into the BIOS.
Now it's running at like 25C!!!!
YES!!!

Thanks all.
