Hi, I recently had my Emachine mobo fry on me. I went ahead and bought the Foxconn MB-K7S741GxMG-GL mobo as it was compatible with the Ram i was using in my previous board. I also preferred it as my old board only had PCI and NO AGP(i know..the suxors). I also got the AMD 3200 to go with it. At boot up, it doesn't seem like my monitor is picking up a signal. I hear the beep when i turn it on. Everything seems to running great except for the front fan at the front of my new tower.
My question is: Since my old OS was running on a Intel Celeron cpu and mobo..will i need to reload windows into my HD in order to function or can i just keep my old OS? Is the problem something else? I was told by a friend that i MAY need to reload my XP onto my HD, but i haven't even received a BIOS screen upon loadup on my rig. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Okay..i now have my front fan functioning properly but still no signal being picked up by monitor. Also, when i plug my mouse and keyboard in, they seem to not be getting a signal.
