Why does xps viewer ep show up on my quick launch task bar?

i was trying to tweak the desk top and now it's changed drasticly, i have quite a few questions but to begin, the xps viewer show in the quick launch, i didn't use the quick launch before and am wondering, do those programs load when windows loads or are the icons just a link?

The quick launch icons are just shortcuts. They are similar to desktop shortcuts. They don't really load with windows. If you want to remove them, just right click, and delete them.
