I just recently purchased some new componets for a new build. Put everything together and attempted to boot the computer for the first time last night. Nothing happen. The power is on as the system fans are running and all but no bios screen, no post beeps, etc. The case fans ran the 5 mins I had the system powered on.
Today I removed everything but the Zalman CNPS9700 cpu fan and tried to boot. Still nothing. Don't hear any error beeps. Removed the MB and put it back in. Now I still don't hear any beeps but the power to the board turns on/off. Any suggestions??
Take the board out of the case, lay it on a flat piece of cardboard.
Put in the CPU and cooler, 1 stick of memory, and the video card. Hook all the connections up and try it there.
Reset the BIOS.
Try it there. See if it will boot outside the case. If it does, you need to double check all your mounting hardware- make sure you are using the correct number of standoffs and have them in the correct locations.
