I just built my first comp from the ground up today. I have an ASUS P5N32-E SLI, Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz, and 4gbs of corsair xms2 RAM. ASUS comes with a software called PC probe 2. This software reads that my comp is 28C and the MB is 37C is this normal? thanks.

Temp sounds a bit low, however I have a Q6600 crammed into an HTPC case, and that reads 35C on an external sensor when running full tilt.
Your mobo tends to be higher as the northbridge etc are only passively cooled.

that sounds about right if not a little low so I shouldn't worry. the lower the better but still have a little check through coretemp.
