Q6600 normal temps first time build

I just built my first comp from the ground up today. I have an ASUS P5N32-E SLI, Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz, and 4gbs of corsair xms2 RAM. ASUS comes with a software called PC probe 2. This software reads that my comp is 28C and the MB is 37C is this normal? thanks.

More about q6600 normal temps time build
  1. Temp sounds a bit low, however I have a Q6600 crammed into an HTPC case, and that reads 35C on an external sensor when running full tilt.
Your mobo tends to be higher as the northbridge etc are only passively cooled.
  2. download coretemp here.
  3. that sounds about right if not a little low so I shouldn't worry. the lower the better but still have a little check through coretemp.
  4. my q6600 i installed last night reads 3.8ghz and 69c
    burn baby burn in
new 780i mobo rocks - bigger power
