I have read that the monitor can come with different panels, some better than others. Has anybody heard anything about this??? Thanks

That was the case and is old news now. All the 226BW's comes with a good panel now. I have one and am very happy with it.

The only way to guarantee a S panel is to purchase the 226CW, if you can find one. At a premium, of course.
