Well I think is about time I trow away that old geforce2 64mb to update a little my old computer so I found these 2 agp cards:

Diamond Viper ATI X1650PRO 512MB
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...TF8&coliid=I189H6NK61044F&colid=1GFJHHVY3V279
98.77 $

PNY Geforce 7600GS 512MB
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...TF8&coliid=I2VK9H0CU89ZNX&colid=1GFJHHVY3V279
131.84 $

I'm planning to use the card for some ocasional gaming. Not the latest and more high end games but some Counter strike, Half life 2 or The Battle for middle earth will be just fine

From the description of the 2 card's it seems that the ati is superior (better core and memory speed) but why is the 7600 so much more expensive? It got something I'm not seeing? Wich one should I chosse?

By the way before anyone says is more cheaper in another website, I can only buy in amazon since they are the only web seller I could find that accept international credit cards and send to outside of US and sice I'm from venezuela I'm stuck with them

Thanks

That chart is not only for PCI-Express card's? Anyway, is an interesting point of view the x1650 seems the better choice. No idea why the 7600 cost so much more

I know men, I wish i could buy that one but I live in venezuela and can't buy from neweeg. That card is in amazon but only for PCI express, no agp cards for the ati 2600. So the choice remains between those 2

Well it seems the choice is the x1650... anyone have a better idea? please any recomendations of others cards, if the info comes from amazon it would be great

Thanks

What are your system specs. COming from a GF2, makes me question the rest of the system as to whether a $100 card would be too much to spend on it.

A GDDR3 X1650 pro and 7600GS are about equal. If that HD1650 pro is a GDDR2 version like most AGP ones out there, the 7600GS will often beat it.
