This is a sapphire ati x9150xt card with the stock cooling. I was playing nfs prostreet and noticed the temps were above/around 93 deg? Is that normal? What can i do to prevent this? These temps were taken from the ati utility ccc and with the side panel of the case open. The cpu temps are around 55-60 deg. I do notice the fan gets REALLY loud and probably runs at full speed while i m playing the game.

You should get a better cooler for that soon. I'm sure many companies sell such, goggle around etc. You might make sure your case has flow over the card when it's closed too.

93 degrees is a bit high, but not all too out of range for that card. Without buying an aftermarket cooler, I would first use ati tray tools or rivatuner to manually set the fan speed higher. You could also pull the factory heatsink and reaply it with some artic silver compound. You could add better airflow to your case also and rig up a case fan to push more air at the card.

But if you hate noise, then check out Cleeves cooler reviews for the X1900XTX and grab yourself a high performance quiter cooler.
