I have a sapphire 3870. I want to get an after market cooler for it. The 2 that i am looking at are the Thermaltake DuOrb and the Arctic Cooling Accelero S1. I dont care about the noise difference between the two. I just want the best cooling i can get (except for water). thanks for any help.

acelero s1... ive got one on an overclocked hd3850, no fan and it never gets above 60.

the hd 3870 with acelero s1 and slow 12cm fan strapped onto it will deal with any overclock you can.

if its silence your after then people have reported resonable temps with hd3870 and s1 with no fan.

not only the above but its cheaper than most coolers. silentpcreview.com is the place to go if you want to know about cooling. these guys have a very in depth review of the arctic cooling s1 and the peeps on the forum know their stuff
