Following along in the directions for my new Abit motherboard I get to the install drivers and utilities from the Abit CD and csan not get it ti "Autorun.. I've checked all my connections My CD spins and it reads my Windows CD but when I get to needs drivers for motherboard it can't see them?? I'm thinking this will be a killer machine when I get it going The Cd/DVD reades is Sata along with both of my hard drives. The hard drives are Sata II When I go onto my BIOS it shows all of them on the boot selection sections but when it posts it says no hard drives are seen.. Any Ideas?? I'm new to the forums.. Hope you guys understand what I'm talking about..
------------------------------Just My Humble Opinion, and I'm allowed to express it...
My Equipment ..I thought it would show as I put it in my profile?
Abit IX38 Quad Motherboard 2 2 gig sticks Corsair XMS2 DDR2 800 Ram,
2 320 Gig Sata II Seagate Hard Drives, Liteon Sata DVD R/W,
2 Sapphire 3870 Video Cards in Cdossfire (If I ever get this thing going)
all in a Antec 900 case with a 750 watt PC And Power PSU. I have a Floppy but the dumb thing wont write to discs..The DVD drive is on Sata 1 The hard drives are on 3 and 4
From what i read you are try to install windows and there are no drives detected? If this is the case you need to either press "F6" when promted to load RAID drivers OR enter the bios and change the RAID config to IDE mode and try again

It never gets to "Press F-6".. In the book with the MB I get to a page after checking all the bios that says to put the driver disc and auto run it.. The disc never shows me what the book says it is supposed to the bios is set to IDE Mode at the moment.. I'd like to run RAID but right now I just want to get it to run. I'll worry about Raid later..
If the problem is that the disk with the drivers won't auto run, put the CD in, got to Run, Click Browse, Click on the CD drive (probably D), Click on the set up.exe and then click Open. The CD should start up. If Windows comes up with new hardware and asks if you want to install, hit Cancel and run the CD
I've got no OS this is a brand new set-up Can't get to a run window.. I did try to install my Windows Vistya 32 and it gets to where it asks for drivers and I've loaded all that it will take off the disc from Abit I put in a request from their support I am going to bed I'll do more tommorrow Thanks guys. Any more Ideas/
Thanks Guys I got it handled.. Took out a stick of ram, let Vista do it's thing. I think it was seeing the ram and also the video memory and had an issue with it The Video boards each have 512 MB on them giving a total of 5 gigs when both ram sticks are in it.. It's running in crossfire as we speak with all ram installed Vist sees 3 meg of ram now..
