cod4 and the 3870

I just wanna know if the poor performance of my card is normal for everyone cause of drivers or is it just me. Anyone and everyone that plays COD4 with a 3870 plz put down what settings do u play sp on and how does it perform, if u can put down fps even better.tnx for the help. btw i use vista prem

Maybe it's Vista & drivers.

I have an 8800GTS 320mb, which is worse than your 3870 and I can play everything on high @1280X1024, getting 40fps. Rarely falls below 30fps. That's including the 4X AA.

I just played a round of Wet Works with Fraps running. I didn't benchmark, but I watched the FPS and it stayed in the low 60's to high 50's typically. During a fire fight it would drop to the low 40's to high 30's. Settings are 1680x1050, 4xAA, AF slider halfway with textures set to "manual" and "extra" respectively. All the eye-candy turned to "yes", with optional settings at "normal". Catalyst 7.11 drivers, card oc'd to 837/1226 in overdrive, with fan turned up to 51% with Rivatuner. Other system specs in sig.
