hello everyone,

I was considering purchasing an Antec P190 case
(mainly for the 5 cooling fans), it comes with 2 power supplies, An Antec neo power 650w and a Antec neo power 550w. Are these PSUs any good?

thanks,

G

Good but not going to be any use unless you have 2 quads, 4 video cards and 16 HDDs.

He's going to be needing those if he wants to run all those fans.. even though he has all the fans.. the seperate PSU's wont interfere with the performance of the CPU,RAM,GPU,ETC... Good thing!

Dude fans practically run on static electricity (excluding vantec tornadoes), you don't need 1.2kW for 5 fans.

thanks folks,

Well what i was thinking was I might to use just one psu on the new PC and the other can go in my older PC( it has a 350watt psu currently). Or the second can just be a back up.

You guys know any other cases with 5 large fans like the P190?

thanks,
G

The Silverstone TJ09 comes with two good 120mm fans and you can add 3 more. The CoolerMaster Stacker accepts even more fans. Either of those, with a PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750W, can handle even 8800 GTX SLI.

That won't work as they're connected in parallel to one switch. Why not just go with the P180 with 4 fans?

The way the PSU's are designed they dont do this. Motherboard 24Pin is on one PSU along with PCI-e 6pin connectors. Then on the other we have molex and sata power connectors, this is a big complaint with many about this case with that fact that its running ALL the power hungry hardware on one PSU and next to nothing on the other.

Lian Li A70 comes with 6x120mm fans... there are cases that come with them plentyful...
