I find that my PC crashes (XP) and reboots on startup when it is connected to one particular LCD display. Maybe the display is faulty but how would this affect booting?

Try resetting the display to a lower refresh rate.

You could also try starting in safe mode (usually pressing F8). If it starts OK you can alter you display settings screen resolution ect. to put it right

It could be a bent pin or something causing a short.

It could be a power issue.
