Sorry if this is a repeat of a thread that already exists, did a browse through some Q6600 temp threads and didn't see something similiar.

This is my setup:
Q6600
Asus p5k
Custom Danger Den water cooling setup.

Anyways my question is whether or not anyone else had such a large discrepancy from one core to the next, here are my temps. With the latest core temp.

Idle:
1: 31
2: 23
3: 16
4: 21

Load (10 minutes prime 95 quad version)

1:43
2:36
3:26
4:32

It makes sense to me that the first core might be a bit higher then the rest but from core 1 to 3 the difference is so large. Any ideas?

At default FSB, voltage and Mghz, thats about right..., all temps per core are not equal, although core 3 is especially cooler by around 4-5C from what I've seen. Your cores 3,4 may be right under the cool water inlet on your H2O block. Also you do not state what app you used to determine temps. Nvidia monitor is up to 10C lower than some other sensor apps. I use rivatuner because I can run their temp monitor on the taskbar and keep an eye on temps for all 4 CPU cores and 2 gpu cores.
