What is the best way to store hard drives that are taken out of a computer and might need to be accessed in the near future? I want to make sure that the hard drives are accessible though protected. I currently have a few hard drives stored in anti-static bags stacked on top of each other inside a transparent plastic container. Are there any issues with storing the drives this way? Is there a better way to do this?

Thanks in advance!!!

As long as they don't get shocked, either electrically or physically, they should be fine. They are remarkably robust when they're not operating.

what could cause them to get shocked either electrically or physically, besides static electricity from the carpet?

Thanks!
