Hello, I have an Acer Aspire laptop with the GMA X3100 chip from Intel (which corresponds to the 965 Family if I'm not mistaken). After wiping the OEM's Vista I did a quick search on Intel's drivers site and it seems Win2003 isn't supported (no surprises there).. I downloaded the 2k/xp drivers and after setting the compatibility to XP it installed fine. Except now I get only a max of 96 megs for vram, which isn't that good, and apps like Windowblinds (not my personal choice of software, believe me) make it impossible for Direct3D apps to function. And game is performance is slower than expected even for an Intel chipset. Is there any solution or should I just make do? Help!

Yes it should be such, but you should not worry about GMA [Graphics Media Accelerator] X3100, rather you should worry about GM 965 [Graphics Controller/Chipset]. I think the link is
<<http://www .intel .com/ support/ chipsets/ sb/ CS-025753 .htm>>

Anyways don't give up... I have it working on dv2917ca HP laptop with 2003 server sp1 r2.

if really desperate I'll upload the drivers.

Meaning that there is no GMA X3100 Chip... It is a GM965 Chipset, and the x3100 is a piece of software.
