Hello,

I have a AMD x2 4000 + proc with 1gb ddr800 Ram, and a geforce FX 5600 graphic card.
I normally use the pc for things like msn and word, but sometimes I like to play games. This works, but not perfect. For example; I cant play the new NFS. My mobo doesnt have PCI-express so I wondered what good AGP card i could buy.. I dont need much, in about a year im buying a whole new pc, but i just want to play new games. I think im gonna buy the MSI RX2600Pro but im not sure... so i was wondering:
which is thee best AGP card, and what card gives you the most graphics for the least money?
thanks!

*im sorry if my english is bad :p\

Coming from a FX5600 you have alot of upgrade options. Without knowing where you are from and what your budget is it's hard to recommend a card.

From top to bottom...
X1950XT, 7950GT, X1950 pro are top dogs
X1950GT, HD2600XT, 7900GS next level down
HD 2600 pro, X1650XT, 7600GT, 7800GS
X1650GT
X1650 pro GDDR3, 7600GS
X1650 GDDR2

For newer NFS games, ATI typically has the AGP lead with the X1950 pro better than a 7900GS and 7950GT. Also, the X1650's should beat the GF7600's. X1650XT vs 7600GT and X1650 pro GDDR3 vs 7600GS. Otherwise overall they are pretty close. persoanally, for NFS Carbon and Pro street, i'd look at the X1950's HD2600s, or X1650's, depending on your budget/pricing.

The VisionTek 1950 Pro is a good choice. CompUSA still has them but is going out of business ($149 I think). In general, 1950 Pro cards are getting real scarce. Another, perhaps better selection would be...

It's rumored that VisionTek will be releasing one as well. Both should be released sometime during Q1, 2008.
