Hi there:

I'm at my wits end!

I have a RAID 0 Windows XP setup on 2 250 SATA GB drives with a ASUS A8V K8T800 motherboard. The BIOS is not recognizing/finding these SATA drives, no matter how many times I futz around with the settings.

The BIOS *used to* recognize the drives, BUT ever since entering Windows Recovery, pressing F6, using a diskette with the SATA drivers, and running chkdsk to fix a separate presumably unrelated problem (which now appears fixed as I can enter, via Windows Recovery, the windows/system32 dir without getting a "could not enumerate" error), the BIOS is not recognizing these drives.

Please, please... what can I do/try to get these drives recognized? OR just to grab the data from the drives. (Tried copying files to a USB drive in Windows Recovery, but I gather that it is a security feature to limit access to only the Windows directory.)

Best, and thanks,
Peter
