I use this ASUS motherboard: M2N-Plus SLI Vista Edition
CPU: AMD Athlon64 X2 6000+ AM2
And Vista 64 Home Premium
From the beginning on I experienced a problem in the copy-function: copying large quantities of data (for example the contents of a complete HDD), I got an error-message: “not enough working memory”
ASUS told me I should update the NVIDIA chip-set driver to 15.01. Trying to do that I got this error message:
Fatal error
You are running a 32 bit-version of NVIDIA uninstaller on a 64 bit system (Binary type 1386).
Wrong version of uninstaller.
And one more error message:
Setup noticed that you are not using Windows XP x64Edition/ Vista64-but operating system. Installation will be cancelled.
Since I know that I use Vista64, something else must be wrong.
I then found a solution at NVIDIA forum for the same error message (StickyWulf) – but concerning the graphic card. After updating the graphic-card drivers I still got the same error message, when trying to update the chip-set driver.
What can I do?
