sir which is better to use intel pentium D925 3.0GHZ 800MHZ 1MB or intel core 2 duo 2.2GHZ 2mb?? when it comes to gamings... like crysis etc aldo i have a good graphic card... because in terms of speed they have a lot of difference but in cache and FSB C2D are higher than Pd925? thanks for the reply

Core2Duo ftw.

If you need an explanation: Among other things, the Pentium D 8xx and 9xx are still on Netburst Architecture (The same stuff that P4's use) so even though it is a dual-core chip, it doesn't perform quite as well as the Core2Duo's do on their newer, improved Core Architecture.

Oh, yeah and in the words of TechnologyCoordinator...

Wouldn't be wise to, as their debate would probably be ripped to shreds by everyone. >.>

It's only going to grant a 5-10fps increase in games vs. it's single core sibling, the P4. In some benchmarks it can't even manage that and breaks even with it. Like those that said it before me, the only real advantage is that it heats up your room. :p
