New system, error (C1)

Recently built new system, installed thermal take purepower600w power supply, OCZ ddr2 pc6400 dual memory, intel core 2 duo 2.33, 8800 gt oc, as well as an abit i35 pro which proceeds to indicate the C1 error whenever I turn the computer on. I'm using an older hard drive at the moment.

Straight from the manual - C1 : Detect memory
-Auto detection of DRAM size, type and ECC
- Auto detection of L2 cache (socket 7 or below)

Any help would be much appreciated.

Try each stick of ram in each of the slots.

Thanks, everything seems to be pointing towards ram. I tried what you said but have had confusing results and have decided to try the same deal with different ram. Hopefully it will do the trick.
