Hey there all.

I'm new to these forums, so I really hope you guys can help me out.

I recently ran Benchmark 3D 06 on my new machine. The GPU (8800 GT) ran well, but the prob is my CPU (Quad core q6600) was a total fail, and never went over 1 FPS!!!! In games there are no problems and running all my applications the system is fine. Only in that benchmarking tool it gives me crap, and not sure why.

Anybody got any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Thats the way is supposed to be, lol. I get 0 or 1 FPS total, actually if you look at the online score it will show that I get 1.4 FPS. You must get more than me unless you haven't overclocked your processer yet. CPU test 1 shows .9 FPS and CPU test 2 shows 1.46 FPS

Although I dont have a q6600, and have yet to run 3dmark 06 (on a 3.2 prescott...no point). Just keep in mind the CPU tests are just that, they only test the CPU....and it brings them down literally to a crawl. What is your total score in 3dmark 06?

Getting score of about 11 000 or so. Haven't done any overclocking. . . . yet :D

Thanks for the fast reply guys. Takes a load of my mind.

I was around 1-2 FPS with a 4-5k CPU score (can't get exact score, it's on another machine.)

My P4 won't complete the test. :kaola:

At least get either a Tuniq Tower 120 or a Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme for overclocking.

I can hit 725ish easily with water on my GTS 640; I would expect that the newer 65nm gpus would do the same or better with the die shrink. 800+ is pretty high, though. Another Q6600, and I rarely see FPS over 2 in the CPU portion of the tests...its normal and meant to be that way.

Stock air cooling on a G92 can go over 800 MHz.

Edit: 14.7k was with stock clocks. Also before you ask about temps, it maxes at 60C with 75% fan speed during Crysis.
