hi guys, im just about ready to turn the computer on for the first time. A couple of questions though, seeing as I have never done this before:

Once you turn it on, what happens if you dont press delete to enter the BIOS and you havn't loaded the OS or anything yet?
Also, how do you turn it off if you havn't installed the OS yet? Do you just press the power button again? And can you do this at anytime?

Thanks.

I believe you will get a black screen eventually that says something along the lines of No OS Found.

If just pressing the power button once doesn't turn it off, then hold it in for 5 seconds.

Set your optical drive to boot first and install the operating system.

I don't need to flash the BIOS? From the look of things, the one installed already is fairly new, and the one bios update thats newer than the one i have doesnt have any real updates that i think i would advantage from. I also have no idea how to flash the bios, so i think ill just leave it as is.

I would suggest never flashing the BIOS unless something new is unsupported with the current one. Leave it be and enjoy your new rig.
