I am currently looking for a new pc and I was compiling a system on the Dell Website when I encountered the following prices:
2.048 MB 667 MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM [2 x 1.024] [inbegrepen in de prijs]
3072MB 667MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM [2x1024/2x512] [meerprijs € 70,00 of € 3/maand-1]
4.096 MB 667 MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM [4 x 1.024] [meerprijs € 140,00 of € 6/maand-1]
2.048 MB 800 MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM [2 x 1.024] [meerprijs € 80,00 of € 3/maand-1]
3072MB 800MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM [2x1024/2x512] [meerprijs € 150,01 of € 7/maand-1]
4096MB 800MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM [1x1024] [meerprijs € 300,00 of € 13/maand-1]
The memory on the first line is included, the prices next to the other lines are what one pays as surplus should one choose these options. I am not really familiar with harware prices but am I correct that prices are really high? For example if you look at the difference between line 1 and 3 you can see that 2x1024, 667MHz costs €140. I believe I can find 2x2048 for the same amount of money or am I missing something here?
Also, on a related note, Is the difference between 4x1024 substantional in comparison to 2x2048?
Thanks in advance
