motherboard vs software either way the unit freezes during the clean install and the hardware has been tested and meets requirements ???? not sure what the problem is came with vista basic motherboard icl50 la-3551p

Freezing during setup can be caused by a few things. Not sure how you tested the hardware, but RAM and hard-drive issues would be the first thing to try, also check the setup disk to make sure it's clean and scratch-free.
