Hey guys.
I've got this new mother board with Intel Core 2 extreme CPU on it with 2 NVIDIA 8800 ULTRA (768MB) SLI.
I've got a thermal-take with fan on it, do you think it will be safe to turn it on? I havent even tried it out yet. I just need some justification that I am actually safe enough. (or just make a water proof tube and fill it with ice LOL jk)

Will it be safe even with those two graphic cards to play games on pure air?

I will invest in some water cooling device until I get some cash, so for now I am depending on fans and air.

I dont see why not. Just dont OC the thing! I use a CoolIT water cooling on mine. Mind you I have only one of those vid cards and an OC'ed E6850 but i get 8 degrees idle temps. You wont have any problem turning it on. Just check the the temps with CoreTemp

ya i build systems all the time and burn in the q6600 chips at 3.8ghz

i take a 12cm fan and set it on top of the memory and tilt it down angled at the cpu/nb they run cool enough

the back will get hot - especially nvidia mobo's but the fan will cool it enough so it will not over heat.

i leave it in bios and watch the temps

i use a box and antistatic bag between the box and mobo
