IS THIS HEATSINK SAFE ENOUGH??

Looks like a big heatsink, wolfies run pretty cool so that should keep the temps in check for 3.6.

Didn't know you could OC an XPS.

Just make sure its not one of the giant crappy aluminium blocks that come on the other dells! I have one used as a paper weight!

Yeah, that looks like a pretty fair heatsink. Can't say if its the best around, but it should allow up to 3.6ghz on an e8400.

I would advise adding an exhaust fan to the system, it should make a fair difference to the cooling

I oced my e8400 to 3.6 running on 1.2v tested with prime 95 passed with no errors or failures. I also added a 92mm fan in the back vent to suck the air out. right now my idle is at 32c max hit 62 with real temp when playing age of conan at high settings. cpu fan is set running around 30% on nvidia control panel. You guys think its possible to crank it up to 4.0 or do i need a new cooler for that? Thanks in advanced.
