when I play gears or unreal 3 I get a weird warping 3/4 of the way up my screen but not with other games
thought it was my card so I used my friends hd 3870 and it dose the same thing and mostly when you turn or move to fast
q6600 oc 3.0
p5k delux mb
4 gig ram 800
ati 3870 cat. 7.12
os vista 32 bit

 

also getting 62 avg. fraps

Are you sure it isnt ingame motion blur? Try turning the post processing to MUTED in the video options.

I have had no problem with unreal 3 and my 3870. As a matter of fact the game looks it best at 1600x1200.
Ya'll need to post some screenshots of what you are seeing because I think some of you are full of hog wash.

It only happens with gears and ut3 but no other games and I have tried all settings and got the updates every thing else works great

Gonna have to be more clear about it. As stated above maybe if you can get some screen shots or a fraps movie up somewhere.
